Multiple sources have confirmed with Rockland Voice that a suspect has been named in the downing of the Russian Passenger plane last week over Sharm El-Sheik in Egypt. Abu Ossama El- Masri, is an Egyptian national, former member of the Muslim Brotherhood, and operative for ISIS in the Sinai. He is alleged to have bribed or intimidated a baggage handler to add a suitcase bomb with the luggage loading onto the doomed flight. This is according to intelligence reports by British and Egyptian services hearing congratulatory remarks naming the suspect. BOMBING MASTERMIND ALLEGED EGYPTIAN CLERIC
“Masri, 42, is a former scholar of the al-Azhar University in Cairo, a 1,000-year-old Sunni Muslim institution. In November 2014 his Sinai-based organisation pledged allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the self-proclaimed ISIS caliph, in return for weapons, finance and potential bomb-making know-how.”
Russian Ambassador to the United Nations, Mr. Vitaly Churkin was heard to say; “If Russia can prove there was a foreign intelligence service involved in this incident – historians will speak about a country that used to exist.”
Mr. Churkin was speaking to the question that there was significant chatter to indicate that support may have been provided by Qatar to help carry out this terrorist attack. No official statements or evidence have been presented to support these allegations. The investigation is on-going, but information retrieved from the aircrafts ‘blackbox”, and public reports released by the British and Egyptian intelligence services cite they captured “chatter” between ISIS operatives, naming Abu Ossama El-Masri as the perpetrator and implicating Qatar intelligence for their role. Qatar and Egypt have a feud over Egypt fighting with ISIS in the Sinai and they will not permit the fall of President Assad in Egypt, siding with the Russians.
“British officials confirmed this weekend that Masri is a “person of interest” and that Britain would help Egypt or Russia in a “kill or capture” mission. Such a move could involve the deployment of the SAS to Egypt, it said.”
This situation is complex and wrought with multiple layers of dis-information telling the American people that the peaceful Arab people wanted the overthrow of Qaddafi, Mubarak and Assad. The Obama Administration toppled stable governments in Libya and Egypt, and are attacking the government in Syria. The Obama Administration has revealed through public hearings, they have been training, arming and funding the variety of terrorist labeled groups operating throughout these areas.
This policy added to regional instability and created a hotbed of terrorist activity in the region, growing and mushrooming into the terrorist group labeled ISIS/ISIL. As a consequence, the types of weapons, that have the capacity to down civilian aircraft have fallen into the hands of these terrorist groups in Libya, used and transferred through the Sinai to Syria.
Russia, Iran and Hizbollah are not natural allies, but find themselves aligned to combat the U.S. backed “Obama Army” that is now ISIS/ISIL, and Free Syrian Army, also the Al-Nusra Brigade, whom, Senator John McCain called moderates, because each are trying to topple Assad. If ISIS/ISIL prevails they will finally create the new Caliphate, combining parts of Syria and Iraq under their dominion. The U.S. led coalition for over 14 months has been largely ineffective in destroying ISIL. Former Iraqi Prime Minister Maliki said;
Nouri al-Maliki, who stepped down as the head of the Iraqi government last year and remains a vice-president, believes that Iraq was targeted by a “regional conspiracy” and is at risk of breaking up. He also said inviting Russia to target Islamic State targets in Iraq could play a positive part in the debacle.
Describing the effort of the international coalition led by the US to cripple ISIS fighters in Iraq, Maliki said it was “inefficient”.
“It’s unbelievable and unacceptable that more than 60 nations comprising this coalition that have the most modern aircraft and weapons at their disposal have been conducting their campaign in Iraq for 14 months and IS still remains in the country,” he told RT’s Arabic-language sister-channel Rusiya Al-Yaum.”
Adding to the disjointed nature of the complex relationships; Saudi Arabia and Qatar have a feud with Egypt, since Egypt expelled the Obama Administration backed Muslim Brotherhood, that took over after the U.S. pulled out the rug from long-time U.S. ally President Mubarak. The new Egyptian President is now on the side of keeping Assad in power in order to stop the domino effect pushed by ISIS/ISIL. The Saudi’s fearing Iran, want Assad taken out, because they share the same Wahabbi- Salafist fundamentalism with ISIS/ ISIL, while Syria’s Assad is aligned with Iran to keep the Saudi’s in check.
The mounting danger arises with the Russian military theater of operations in direct opposition with U.S. military operations backing the Russian targets. This amounts to a proxy war that can fast spiral out of control into a direct conflict between the United States and Russia.
The take-down of the Russian civilian flight, by design or unintended outcome, will oblige President Putin to take action. Retaliatory responses by Russia cannot be under-estimated or predicted in terms of American half – measures seen over the past seven years or blunders over the past 14 months. President Putin’s response will be unmistakably well targeted.
President Putin met with his top military advisors last night. It was reported he was not taking calls from foreign leaders. After he emerged from his military staff meeting, he told the Russian people the perpetrators will be held accountable for this attack.
Here is a perspective for consideration. The total number of global terrorist attacks against the U.S. and Western interest in the wake of 911 in 2001 was in 1,882. In 2014 alone, the total number has been 16,818. This attack against Russian civilians on vacation in Egypt will not be ignored by Moscow. Multiple news agencies reported:
“Russia’s air force flew 81 sorties and hit 263 targets in Syria in the last two days, the Russian Defence Ministry announced.” Russian Air Force blitz ISL targets in wake of downed airliner
If this passenger airline bombing was meant to shy the Russians away from the region or meant to draw them deeper into the conflict, the final outcome remains to be seen, but the abiding expectation for a decisive response is it will be harsh, and the U.S. will not be able to dissuade what ever it is President Putin is planning going forward from here.
James Makled, former lecturer at the Joint Counter Intelligence Terrorist Academy said: ” The U.S. is making a mistake of a lifetime by leaving Russia, Iran, and Hizbollah to lead the fight.. giving them a free hand.. in the end, the winner keeps it all.”
