Literally hours after being sworn in as the 45th Chief Executive of the United States of America, President Donald J. Trump went straight to work to fulfill his word given to the American people. The first 100 hours of the Trump Administration can be described as a profile in courage.
Political pundits alongside an incalcitrant main stream media are begrudgingly coming to realize that President Trump is the first populist president to ascend the White House since Theodore Roosevelt. The Trump campaign field general was the first woman in U.S. history to lead a Republican presidential campaign to such a stunning victory in winning the White House with 306 Electoral Votes and landslide of 33 U.S. States.
This was the most brilliantly conducted presidential campaign of the 21st Century. The irony was lost on the far left wing media as they failed to acknowledge that the first democrat female nominee to run for president was crushed by the first female republican presidential campaign manager.
Beginning with President Trump’s inauguration speech when he said these words to the collective Washington elites;
“For too long, a small group in our nation’s capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have borne the cost. Washington flourished, but the people did not share in its wealth. Politicians prospered, but the jobs left. And the factories closed.”
President Trump boldly told the elites assembled there to their faces that they made vast fortunes on the backs of working class Americans. No one in the mainstream media or so called watch dog investigative journalist ever questioned how is it that salaried federal employees become multimillionaires in the course of their tenure. This moment was for all the world to see a profile in courage.
President Trump’s visit to the Pentagon to swear in General Mattis as Secretary of Defense at the corridor named “Hall of Heroes” offered powerful optics when the oath was administered over the names of our nation’s most courageous soldiers awarded the Medal of Honor, signifying the sole distinction of “valor above and beyond the call of duty”. The symbolism was not lost on anyone who ever wore the uniform to watch a man of honor promise by bond and oath to defend the U.S. Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic.
President Trump’s pick of Mr. Rex Tillerson as Secretary of State sent out a message to friend and foe alike, that a world class negotiator would be the top diplomat representing the interest of the American people. The man has forged personal and professional relationships while he was CEO of Exxon with world leaders of the top oil producing nations. He is a man of skill, accomplishments, and personal wealth that make him immune to being bought off or pay to play scams supporting a charitable foundation acting as cover to finance future political aspirations to higher office.
As the top diplomat, any potential foe will come to realize that if they cannot convene a meeting of the minds, or negotiate a peaceful settlement to disputes with this congenial Secretary of State, well then, they must next contend with a Secretary of Defense, whose Marines under his command, gave him the affectionate nickname of “Mad dog.” This pick was a profile in courage because it telegraphed a deliberate message of abandoning the failed policy of appeasement for unmistakable resolve.
In the first 100 hours, President Trump has demonstrated that his administration’s policy intends to begin with a clean slate. It will not continue or build upon the old failed policies of his predecessors, be it foreign, domestic, or economic policy. What his critics like to misclassify as immigration policy is in truth national security policy. Border security has nothing to do with immigration. Legal immigration process has nothing to do with illegal immigration run amok. Laws without enforcement are reduced to mere suggestions.
Syrian refugees are the unintended outcome of the Obama Administration’s failed regime change policy. Refugees do not want to become assimilated American citizens, they want to return to their homes and country of origin. The best policy is to reverse the failed policy that created this mess in the first place, not perpetuate it.
“We do not seek to impose our way of life on anyone, but rather to let it shine as an example for everyone to follow.” ~ President Donald J. Trump, Inaugural address 2017
The Trump Administration has not to disprove they are racist by allowing unvetted aliens from regions rife with sectarian violence and jihadist activity into American neighborhoods. It is politics of the lowest form for the media to announce “Syrian refugees denied entry into JFK”. How did they get an entry Visa in the first place? How were they allowed to board without a proper entry Visa? If the Visa is invalid or cast doubts at customs check in, then here like anywhere else, they are not permitted entry. This is the law. No amount of hysterical press coverage will reverse the decision of customs agents that detain anyone or deny entry to anyone, until the matter that concerns them is resolved to their satisfaction.
Media spin is propaganda aimed at stirring emotions not employing intellectuality. The open borders advocate teamed up with political critics are telling us that the Trump Administration should abandon Visa laws and immigration vetting anytime someone accuses them of being a racist. That we should simply not enforce border security because it generates bad press and instead talking heads should craft national security policy rather than our own national security team.
The left wing media would paint the Trump Administration as being racist because they do not have a web page on the White House site in the Spanish language. Well, then that means, all local government websites should have a page in every single language and dialect spoken on Earth, so as not to appear to be racist or offend anyone.
Perhaps, ethnicity needs no validation from the government and the multi-culturalist agenda is merely optics over substance. We should be more concerned that our foreign language students are educated, our legal immigrants are assimilated, and they are trained with the skills needed to succeed economically as citizens of the United States. None of that is accomplished by an ethnic language webpage on a government website. None of these left wing accusations are rational, reasonable, nor palatable. It reeks of rank politics of the lowest form, rancor for the sake of sowing despair, in order to maintain control not promote individual liberty or societal freedom.
The truth of the matter is the Trump Administration’s first 100 hours were courageous. The remaining 100 days will be no less short of remarkable at this pace and tenor. The sour and dour pundits, celebrity malcontents, the manipulated rioters and orchestrated anarchist will be flushed out as they are exposed for what they truly are. They offer no solutions, they will not tolerate any other viewpoint not of their own making, and the elites feel their power slipping, as that is the outcome of a populist revolution. Open your eyes, use your intellectual powers, and resist your emotional buttons from being pushed by propagandist.
No matter our ethnicity, religion, creed, color, or orientation, when we see ourselves as Americans, we realize that we share a common bond and mutual destiny. We sink or swim together as one people. The politics of division only serve to divide and conquer us for those who would pit us against each other, for their own nefarious agenda. When Americans unite against a common threat, there is nothing they cannot accomplish, no foe than cannot be beaten, no challenge that cannot be overcome.
“There is no room for prejudice in the heart of a patriot.” ~ President Donald J. Trump, 2017 Inaugural address.
